A Passion for the Word is what I have.

This is not just a website, but this is the motivation of my life, to know God more intimately through His powerful Word. Anything that brings me closer to Jesus, plays a priority role in my life. And I see that the Word is one of the key places that we can know Him.

The Word of God is the heart of God.

The Bible says in Matthew 15:18, that “the mouth speaks from the abundance of the heart.” So if the Bible is the Word of God, then we know that words are the revealer of what is in the heart. So when God gave us the Word , He gave us His heart. So that means that every time I read and study His Word , I am hearing His heart beat. How awesome is that….I get to hear the heart of Jesus every time I read the pages of the Bible.

Just because you can’t hear something without an aid does not mean it does not exist. We all have a heartbeat but at times need an aid to help us to hear it. God has a heartbeat. It is the Word of God.

May “Passion for the Word” be that stethoscope that you can place on the Bible each week that helps you hear a little clearer THE HEART of Jesus.

Tim Dilena is the founding pastor of Revival Tabernacle Church in Highland Park, MI. It is a converted 900 seat XXX theater. The thriving inter-racial church is located in one of the socially and economically toughest cities in the state of Michigan. Through the years, Revival Tabernacle has become known as one of the most committed churches to reaching this city. Pastor Tim served as the pastor of Revival for 20 years.

Pastor Tim has been a visiting pastor at David Wilkerson’s Time Square Church for over 15 years. He speaks for Major League Baseball and NFL team chapels as well as corporate and entertainment industry chapel services. He ministers cross denominationally in colleges and seminaries. He has also written for magazines and periodicals. One of his latest literary achievements is being one of the contributors for the new Thomas Nelson “Revival Bible”.

The pulpit ministry of Revival Tabernacle is heard in 45 states around the US and over 30 nations around the world. Pastor Tim is a graduate from the Oxford Center of Christian Apologetics. He and his family lived in Oxford England while studying under the top Christian apologists in the world.

In late 2010, Pastor Tim prayerfully accepted the role of an associate pastor at the 14,000 member Brooklyn Tabernacle Church in Brooklyn, NY.
In early 2011, Pastor Tim and his family transitioned from the senior pastoral role in Highland Park to join the pastoral team in Brooklyn.
