The Frustration of a God That Takes Too Long

Have you ever felt the words sear your mind “Is this ever going to happen?”  or “How much longer do I need to wait?”  You have a watch but God has a calendar and His timetable is completely different than yours.


So why does God have me waiting so much?  That is what frustrates me about God.


We have a misconception of delay & waiting…there is a pain but a process that happens during waiting and delay

ALWAYS REMEMBER THIS….waiting and delay is not a  punishment season , it’s maturing season. 


God never gives without preparing the receiver for the gift.


How come I’m not married?

How come I’m not in ministry?


The great commentary writer, Matthew Henry, says this about waiting for God:  “Cast not away your confidence because God defers his performances. That which does not come in your time, will be hastened in his time, which is always the more convenient season. God will work when he pleases, how he pleases, and by what means he pleases. He is not bound to keep our time, but he will perform his word, honour our faith, and reward them that diligently seek him. “



 To pursue to make these things (marriage, ministry, etc.) happen before their time is in reality sabotage.

He Kept His Job for 80 Years…..Guess Who?

He kept his job for 80 years.

That is incredible by any generations standards.


Genesis 50:22 “Now Joseph stayed in Egypt, he and his fathers household, and Joseph lived one hundred and ten years.”

When God takes you on His path to His purpose , you get to do it for a very long time.

I  never realized that Joseph served in his role for 80 years.  Did you get that?  80 years as second in charge of the planet.


He became second to Pharaoh at age 30 (Gen 41:46).  He dies at 110.  He serves for 80 years.
