I am now the father of a teenager.  My eldest child just turned 13 a few weeks ago. We even had “The” talk when he was 12 to prepare us for this moment.  Now begins the bodily changes and the emotional and attitudinal changes.  There is more work ahead but it’s worth it. We have a great son.

Before I show you an amazing Bible verse on teens from one of the wisest men, here is my less spiritual but fun quotes on teenagers.

“Never lend your car to anyone to whom you have given birth.”

Erma Bombeck

“As a teenager you are at the last stage in your life when you will be happy to hear that the phone is for you.”

Fran Lebowitz

Little children, headache; big children, heartache.  ~Italian Proverb

Too many of today’s children have straight teeth and crooked morals.  ~Unknown high school principal

Teenagers complain there’s nothing to do, then stay out all night doing it.  ~Bob Phillips

What you don’t correct in your own life , will come to fruition in your children’s  Jacob Aranza

You can tell a child is growing up when he stops asking where he came from and starts refusing to tell where he is going.  ~Author Unknown

Small children disturb your sleep, big children your life.  ~Yiddish Proverb

Those are the fun and not spiritual quotes.

I ran across a verse about teens in the Bible that I have never seen; and maybe that is because I have never had a teen till a few weeks ago.

Do it Again Daddy!

Have you ever gotten physically tired playing
with your children from them saying “do it again.”?

You just couldn’t lift them again

You just couldn’t throw them in the air one more time

You just couldn’t swing them in a circle without passing out.

So… why is it that they always say DO IT AGAIN?

Gehazi , the servant of Elisha, chases down Naaman, a wealthy healed heathen that just came to believe in God after dipping into the Jordan 7 times.

When he catches up to him he says to Naaman that Elisha wanted me to get some silver and some changes of clothes.

But this is not true.

This is Gehazi’s greed, upset with the prophet for not making a PROFIT from the Aramite.

Naaman gladly gives the tribute

And Gehazi gladly receives it for himself AND HIDES IT.
