Every day I try to read from John Wesley’s journal.
This was the entry from Wesley’s journal I read yesterday: the heading to the Tuesday the 7th date was “Wesley Rides 2400 Miles in 7 Months”. If there was a hard working preacher who cared about the lost and the body of Christ, it was John Wesley.
John Wesley averaged, during a period of fifty-four years, about five thousand miles a year, making in all some two hundred and ninety thousand miles, a distance equal to circumnavigating the globe about twelve times. It must not be forgotten that most of this travel was on horseback. Think of riding around the globe on horseback twelve times!
Just for that reason , give weight to his prophetic words from his journal.

Read this crazy story from II Chronicles 12
10 Then King Rehoboam made shields of bronze in their place and committed them to the care of the commanders of the guard who guarded the door of the kings house
9 So Shishak king of Egypt came up against Jerusalem, and took the treasures of the house of the Lord and the treasures of the kings palace. He took everything; he even took the golden shields which Solomon had made. 10 Then King Rehoboam made shields of bronze in their place and committed them to the care of the commanders of the guard who guarded the door of the kings house. 11 As often as the king entered the house of the Lord, the guards came and carried them and then brought them back into the guards room
These Bronze Shields are a strange phenomenon in the life of Rehoboam.
They are replicas of the real thing.
They are hypocrite shields.
They are make believe.
They are their for the show but not for the battle.
