TEENAGE TALK FROM THE OLD TESTAMENT

Gehazi , the servant of Elisha, chases down Naaman, a wealthy healed heathen that just came to believe in God after dipping into the Jordan 7 times.

When he catches up to him he says to Naaman that Elisha wanted me to get some silver and some changes of clothes.

But this is not true.

This is Gehazi’s greed, upset with the prophet for not making a PROFIT from the Aramite.

Naaman gladly gives the tribute

And Gehazi gladly receives it for himself AND HIDES IT.

When he gets back to the prophets quarters, Elisha asks a simple question….

“Where have you been?”

AND THEN THE AMAZING TEEN AGE TALK COMES OUT!!!

“your servant went NOWHERE”

Did you hear that high school-ish answer?

Always remember NOWHERE AND NOTHING…..MEANS SOMEWHERE AND SOMETHING

Just ask people a few more questions.

You will know truth by just questions.

Do people get upset when you ask questions?

Do the answers change?

Do the answers make no sense?

Remember these 2 important principles when talking to people…..

The mouth always reveals the heart. Jesus said that.

And the tongue is untamed. James said that.

Based on these 2 Scriptural principles, get the mouth talking and it will reveal the heart.

And keep them talking and the untamed tongue will always give itself away.

No matter how slick someone is , the tongue is still untamed.
